The Lagos State Police Command has explained that House of Representatives member, Shina Peller was once detained and arrested for allegedly mobilising thugs to invade a police station.
The Punch reports that the country Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana accused Peller’s club, Quilox, of being fond of obstructing free flow of traffic in the state.
He stated after some of his customers’ motors brought on gridlock on Monday, the police intervened by using towing three of the vehicles.
He said, “The honourable is the proprietor of that membership and his customers are fond of parking on the avenue and blocking the road. If you want to bypass that place, you will have challenging times.
“Up till 9am, the membership used to be nonetheless on. They refused to do away with their cars and Lagosians have been seriously disturbed. Even Mr Governor was affected this morning. He had to manoeuvre his way thru it.
“This man had been talked to many times, but he refused to listen. This morning, our patrol motors towed three automobiles out of that region so that people may want to pass.
“This honourable mobilised over 50 thugs to assault Maroko Police Station to pass those automobiles out. We had to send reinforcement from neighbouring stations before they have been capable to curtail the situation. That used to be how he used to be arrested with five of the thugs, whilst others escaped. We had to exercising a lot of restraints.
