#OleOut is trending on Twitter after Arsenal beat Man Utd 2-0

Arsenal kicked-off 2020 with a brilliant 2-0 win against Manchester United.

The Gunners started the match just four points above the relegation zone but ended it just four points behind their opponents, United, who occupy fifth.

Club record signing Nicolas Pepe gave the home side an eight-minute lead, converting from Saed Kolasinac’s pull-back.

It was a first half that Arsenal dominated and they got their reward when Sokratis Papastathopoulos smashed home from a corner after David de Gea had saved from Alexandre Lacazette’s header.

United surely couldn’t be any worse in the second half. Well, they certainly weren’t much better.

In fact, they barely troubled Bernd Leno during the entire 90 minutes as they produced a woeful performance.

And United fans on Twitter were far from impressed. In fact, it led to #OleOut trending as many fans begged for Solskjaer to be sacked.

The result leaves United in fifth but they’re now five points off Chelsea in fourth.

It’s been much very a case of one step forward, two steps back for United this season. They had beaten Newcastle and Burnley in convincing fashion over the Christmas period and were looking to go within two points of Chelsea with a win against Arsenal.

But from the first whistle to the last, they were completely outclassed by a rejuvenated Arsenal side, who looked a totally different prospect as they enter this new era.

Should United take a step to also enter a new era without Solskjaer?
