Humans have had and dealt with series of world crisis but the corona virus (COVID 19) crisis seems like the greatest enemy of mankind lately. For most people this is said to be the biggest world crisis after WWII (world war 2) as everywhere in the world is practically on lockdown so as to contain the spread of the virus. With over 60,000 deaths and over 1,100,000 infected people, it is safe to say that COVID-19 has taken the world on rampage with death rates rising each day and it’s reach expanding but it’s fatality is said to be minimal compared to other lethal viruses. But one sure thing is that human beings are never going to back down from fighting everything that comes as a threat to lives and this has been a constant fight for so long.
World leaders, physicians, scientists, world renowned pharmacists, WHO(World Health Organization) and so on have been trying continuously to find a possible vaccine that works against COVID-19 but nothing has been found yet. Everyone in the world is putting in every effort to help each other as to finding a way to put an end to this big endemic facing the world right now and this has gotten most big multi million companies and Celebrities over the world to donate funds in the search of vaccines against this deadly visitor.
The latest of the world leaders to raise his hands high in pursuit of world health is the world known billionaire, software developer and Co founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates. Bill said in a video circling the internet that he is planning to spend billions of dollars for making factories for seven candidates towards the creation of vaccines. He said “we are setting up factories to manufacture 7 leading vaccine candidates before we know which is best & safest; we can test the vaccines in parallel, and then throw away all but the factory for the best vaccine. May save many months.”
He explained that it might take up to 18 months to find a very effective vaccine against COVID-19 which will be the fastest vaccine ever created but it might come at a cost, which is wasting billions of dollars over constructing factories for vaccines that might not be successful. But he later stressed that the money that will be wasted is nothing compared to trillions that turns to loss in the economy time to time.
