Nigeria’s Coronavirus Cases Rise To 323

Nigeria has recorded 5 new cases of COVID-19 virus, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Sunday, in its lastest update of the pandemic in the country.

The lastest update have been reported as follows:

2 in Lagos

2 in Kwara

1 in Katsina

This means that there are 19 states with confirmed cases of the pandemic in the country.

”As at 09:10 pm, 12th April, 2020 there are 323 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria, 85 have been discharged with 10 deaths,” NCDC said.

Meanwhile, the worldwide death toll from the new Coronavirus has surpassed 101,000 amid about 1.6 million cases and more than 372,000 recoveries, according to Johns Hopkins University tally.

Italy has registered the highest number of the Corona virus related death, more than 18,800 deaths as of last Friday, while America has reported the majority of confirmed infections with nearly half a million, with New York continuing to be the heart of the crisis after experiencing more infections than the whole of Spain, along with 4,000 deaths.

Recall that on Tuesday 774 people died of the disease in New York, a day record.
