The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has stated that the female executioner arrested by the Nigerian Army is not a part of their Eastern Security Network (ESN) arm-carrying unit. This was reported by SaharaReporters few days ago, wherein joint security operatives arrested a female suspected member of the ESN in Imo State.
In response to the reported arrest of the female executioner, IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, issued a statement noting that the female executioner was neither a member nor part of their security arm, ESN. The statement further highlighted that recruitment of ESN operatives had been halted since 2020 prior to the official inauguration in December 2020.
IPOB has clarified on several occasions through press releases and radio broadcasts that ESN has not been recruiting any new operatives and does not have a camp in Enugu Ezike, Enugu State. Mazi Chinasa Nworu and Mazi Chinedu Jonathan have also both publicly stated this on Radio Biafra.
If there are any camps existing in this locality, it is possible they may have been set up by Nigerian government collaborators to discredit the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The people of Igboeze North and South are aware IPOB has no presence in their area. The caricature of the female executioner, if it is legitimate, suggests she is working with the Nigerian government collaborators to imitate the Eastern Security Network in Enugu Ezike. An examination of the female’s hairstyle could provide further insight into her motives.
IPOB has continually rejected any attempts by the Nigerian government, and their collaborators, to interfere with their operations. It is known that ESN, created by the IPOB Leader, is comprised of disciplined and dedicated individuals who are devoted to protecting their land from the Fulani terrorist presence in their forests and farmlands. Furthermore, they safeguard their people and do not cause any harm.
