During Paris Haute Couture week, Doja Cat stunned in a full red body paint and 30,000 crystal look titled Doja’s Inferno. The bold look was created by Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry and British make-up artist Dame Pat McGrath, who noted Doja Cat’s “sublime patience”. The end result was described as “a magical, mesmerising masterpiece of sparkling brilliance”.

The singer was adorned with hand-applied Swarovski crystals, a red silk bustier, a beaded tulip skirt and red knee-high boots, as well as an intricate body paint design.
Dame Pat shared a time-lapse video showcasing her team as they painted the star’s skin and applied the thousands of crystals.
Roseberry was appointed to lead the French couture house Schiaparelli in 2019, making him the first American to do so. The house was founded in 1927 by Elsa Schiaparelli, and Vogue has described the results of his leadership as “evocative of sublime sculptures; a true feast for the eyes”.
Celebrities such as Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, and Julia Roberts have recently been spotted wearing the label on the red carpet.
The show on Monday featured several intriguing looks, the most eye-catching being a velvet gown with 3D lion and snow leopard headpieces.
Doja Cat, also known as Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini, has often expressed her creativity through her fashion choices. She has previously covered herself in gold body paint during A.W.A.K.E Mode’s spring show in Paris, and has experimented with zig-zag eye-make up at Vivienne Westwood. Her music career has been highlighted by hits such as Say So, Streets and Kiss Me More.
