Nollywood entertainer and chief, Genevieve Nnaji, will star in a sound variation of the Broadway melodic ‘FELA’ which will debut on the Clubhouse application this end of the week.

The sound transformation on Clubhouse named ‘Fela Ten-Twenty’ will depict the “#EndSARS development with regards to Fela Kuti’s inheritance,” Fela Ten-Twenty chief/maker, Funa Maduka, told CNN.
The ‘Ten-Twenty’ connotes the date #EndSARS dissidents were apparently taken shots at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 10, 2020.
“Fela’s music… requested worldwide commitment with African political idea. In the result of the October 2020 #EndSars fights … his message still painfully reverberates. This creation is an affection letter to those battling for a superior Nigeria,” said Maduka.
The coordinators further uncovered that Nnaji will star as one of the ‘Kalakuta Queens’, addressing the performer’s artists in Fela Ten-Twenty.
Nnaji uncovered in an articulation that she is “respected to be essential for the creation.”
She said, “The contemporary issues featured are what sold me. This is a guileful retelling of Fela’s story and I’m regarded to be a piece of it.
“I experienced childhood with radio plays and the experience is nostalgic for me – the force of voice to impact psyches and contact hearts is irrefutable.”
As per Maduka, part of the returns from the show on Clubhouse on May fifteenth and sixteenth will go to the GEANCO Foundation and will be utilized to give grant to youthful female survivors of illegal intimidation and sex imbalance.
