IMEI: Nigerians’ data not safe with Isa Pantami –Aisha Yesufu

Yet, talking with The PUNCH on Friday, Yesufu said it is neither savvy nor ok for Nigerians to present their telephone characters to the NCC under Pantami.

Pantami, an individual from the President’s bureau from Gombe State, heads the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy responsible for the Nigerian Communications Commission, National Information Technology Development Agency, National Identity Management Commission, Nigerian Postal Service, among others.

The PUNCH had before announced that Yesufu said she would not connection her SIM card with her National Identification Number.

On December 15, 2020, Pantami pronounced that all SIMs that were not enrolled with legitimate NINs on the organization of media communications organizations would be impeded.
