On Monday, flights at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport were suspended as Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) workers held a strike in response to the company’s refusal to increase their salaries.
According to reports, a strike occurring on Monday has caused flight difficulties for NAHCO airlines, leaving many passengers stranded at Lagos’ MMA2 and Murtala Muhammed International Airport. This follows requests for a pay rise by the company’s employees since August, due to the tripling of handling rates in the first quarter of 2022.
