According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute’s (SIPRI) 2021 report, the top five arms exporting states in the world are:

1. United States: The US accounts for nearly 38% of global arms exports, and its major customers are Saudi Arabia, Australia, and South Korea.
2. Russia: Russia is the second-largest arms exporter in the world, accounting for around 20% of global arms exports. Its biggest customers include India, Egypt, and Algeria.
3. France: France is the world’s third-largest arms exporter, accounting for around 8% of global arms exports. Its major customers are Egypt, Greece, and India.
4. Germany: Germany is the fourth-largest arms exporter in the world, accounting for around 5.5% of global arms exports. Its major customers include South Korea, Israel, and Greece.
5. China: China is the fifth-largest arms exporter in the world, accounting for around 5.2% of global arms exports. Its major customers include Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Algeria.
